Sustainable entrepreneurship is key to Smeulders Interieur Group, and it is our goal to deal with the environment with care. For example, by applying sustainable materials, we try to reduce the impact of our organization on the environment. But also by minimizing waste, and economical use of energy. This is how we contribute to a sustainable society.
In September 2015, Smeulders Interieur Group obtained the ISO 14001 certificate. In addition to the requirements of this standard for sustainable entrepreneurship, our commercial premises are equipped with energy-saving and soil protective equipment. In addition, the production process is designed to minimize the amount of waste.
Our efforts in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship have been mapped out by a number of organizations. As a result, international sustainability scores and the impact of various business activities on the environment are regularly assessed.
As we can realize for our clients interiors, which meet the strictest (inter) national sustainability requirements, we have also managed to minimize our own environmental footprint. Because, for example, we heat our business premises with the energy from our wood combustion plant and therefore do not need a gas connection anymore.
