Villa Meijendel
Interior architect: Cepezed
Location: Wassenaar
In this villa, the interior plays a defining role in the overall spatial experience. Within a transparent structure of steel and glass, bespoke volumes accommodate functions such as bathrooms, wardrobes and workspaces. These elements are not only highly functional but also form the spatial framework of the home.
The strength of the project lies in the balance between openness and refinement. Long sightlines, glass floors and large sliding doors create a strong connection with the surrounding landscape, while the interior provides a sense of calm, functionality and comfort.
For us as an interior builder, the exceptional level of detailing is what truly sets this project apart. Every element has been carefully designed and crafted, from integrated storage solutions to virtually invisible fixings and concealed technical installations.
The interior also reflects the home’s circular design principles. The bespoke elements have been conceived as independent volumes that can be adapted, relocated or reused in the future. In doing so, this villa demonstrates how bespoke craftsmanship, aesthetics and sustainability can reinforce one another.
